WWU music department shares annual Christmas concert to the community

''

During this season, Walla Walla University Department of Music is presenting their annual Christmas Concert for the community at Walla Walla University Church. The concert will be performed both at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8. The 8 p.m. performance will also be livestreamed at ry8w69.zsdzi1.com/concerts

The Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Brandon Beck, along with the University Singers, ICantori, and Chamber Orchestra directed by Kraig Scott, will be performing a variety of Christmas classics for all to enjoy.

This year's Christmas concert centers around the theme “His Regard, Our Joy”, inspired by how gracious God is to us and invites us to consider the miracle that even before we call on God’s name, God is thinking of us.

The evening's music will include a variety of well-known hymns and Christmas carols like “Sing We Now of Christmas” and “Angle's Carol”. The program will also include the orchestra performing “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and “Symphonic Fantasia on Christmas Theme.”

Please join us at the University Church, located at 212 SW Fourth St. in College Place. While admission remains free, donations would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to donate, we invite you to donate at the door or online.
